Beer cooling ice banks are reliable and efficient systems for keeping beer and most other chilled beverages at ideal temperature for service. They are suitable for all small to medium sized venues including pubs, bars, restaurants and beer gardens/entertainment venues. The ice bank works via a system of coils suspended in a water bath; the refrigeration unit chills the water and a bank of ice is formed around the coils. Passing beer through the coils chills it for service at the tap.
The water bath is stirred by an agitator unit to ensure even cooling and prevents ice from blocking the coils. The refrigeration unit is controlled by a thermostat that monitors the water temperature and adjusts the ice production accordingly.
